Little Penguin 2005 Pinot Noir

I will admit, we drink more Pinot Noir than any other wine. We may drink it more than any other type of alcohol. But since the love of my life introduced it to me, I can't stop myself looking for different vineyards which make this type of wine. Joe Gim and I originally picked this 1.5 L value bottle in August when we had his 2nd wedding reception in MD. I couldn't help but keep myself away from the camera, so I don't remember this bottle. Today, Suzanna's dad talked to me about our parents' initial meeting. Otherwise my future with his daughter has been sealed (in a good way). I smell cherries, but taste a little spice. It's far from complex but it does the job at the moment. I could easily see this bottle in an Italian restaurant with the markup of $50. It would piss me off, but If the other names don't excite me, I would have no choice but to partake in this memorable vino.

Bistro 2005 Pinot Noir

Bought this wine in maryland during crabfest. Didn't get to drinking it, busy drinking all the box wine (chardonnay was FUNKY) Lost the dominoes to jimbo and his new woman. But back to tonite, watching parental control, waiting for freshdirect order, then I'll do my nails and watch some nip/tuck or scrubs. I miss my schmoomoo.

Vigna del Melograno 2004 Uva di Troia

After watching 2 episodes of Nip/Tuck 2nd season, I popped open this bottle. It didn't need much time to breathe, it smells fantastic and it tastes fantastic too ! Very smooth with a nice finish. Celebrity fit club is on, and I realize that ex-baywatch babe weighs as much as I do, is taller than me, but looks like a chunky monkey. Jeez-loueez. I must be a heffer. My head is getting hot, and I miss my lover… but I realize that he is here more than he is anywhere else--which is probably not fair to the rest of the world :( Hopefully we will be together forever soon enough so that I won't have to share him too much longer.

Cavit 2005 Pinot Noir

Today was a difficult day. Because mom is by legal terms, an AIP (allegedly impaired person) the old man has accepted responsibility of guardianship. I have agreed to be the standby or second string quarterback. Court was two hours long and tedious. Otherwise it was ok. I went to class and wished to get out as soon as possible. When I got home I poured out a glass and enjoyed the smells of cherries, followed by a sip of a smooth finish. Two years ago, I would have frowned if I saw a 1.5 L bottle. I would have been a fugazi wine snob. Today I am changed. I want to enjoy wine everyday. That may mean, on a budget. This glass helped me forget (for a moment) about the morbid truth that my parents will not live forever. Well I can't get over my purple toenails either.

Trapiche 2005 Pinot Noir

Today did not start off well. A customer had experience hardware failure and I spent all day working on it. I visited mom quickly but had to swallow a McD burger before the first class of managerial econ. The class was good; I didn't fall asleep. I get to Brooklyn and I get called for this client prob. Work never ends. Suzie's not home yet, but I open this up. It's smooth and a little fruity. Right now I'm so tired, it tastes good to me. Now, time to dine on a McD burger, cold fries and leftover KFC thigh.

This wine is quite different. It's a different grape and it's very dry. Flavorful, but not like Suzanna's spicy and salty chicken drumsticks.

Jacques & Francois Lurton Perfect Pinot 2005

Today is my fantasy football draft and much to my chagrin, I miss it. With the #1 draft pick, I kick myself. This wine can not sooth my soul, especially with the self proclaimed, false advertisement. At least my love is making some sweet smelling pajun.

[8/25/06 - 8:30pm] "After a long day from work, I come to Brooklyn to taste this 'perfect' wine. As the first Fresh Direct delivery, the bottle was a cool way to start the weekend. It possesses a smooth taste with a little spice. I like it, but to see the word perfect makes me expect more. What? A screwcap? It didn't get much help with the subpar Indian food we ate. No Balucchi's, no thanks."
